Tony Macaulay has won nine British Academy Awards (The BASCA Ivor Novello Award). These include two awards in the category Songwriter of the Year, The Jimmy Kennedy Award for Services to the Music Industry, and a Best Musical of the Year Award for his West End hit, Windy City, starring Dennis Waterman and Anton Rodgers.

This theatre presentation also went on to win the Evening Standard Drama Award (1982)

In 1977, Music Week named him Record Producer of the Year.

In 2007, Tony became the first non-American to win The Edwin Forrest Award for Services to Theater, in the USA.

Over a period of four decades, Macaulay has won fifteen awards (ASCAP, BMI, etc) celebrating a song of his receiving a million plays on American Radio.

Tony holds the rare title of Composer To Her Majesty The Queen (1985)
